In the Gulf of Mexico 33 rivers run through and from the Gulf. The Gulf of Mexico is home to 29 marine mammal species including species of whales, dolphins, manatees and types of birds. The Gulf of Mexico reaches amazing depths of more than 14,000 feet at the Sigsbee Deep. 207 Estuaries empty into the Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf of Mexico accounts for one sixth of the entire production that happens in the United States through trade and the resources found inside of the Gulf.
