The Oceans of Our Planet

Pacific Ocean:

The Pacific Ocean covers 33 percent of the Earth's surface and is known as being the largest body of water on Earth. The government secured Mariana Trench is home to the legend of the Megalodon and is located in the Pacific Ocean, and is the deepest point of the Ocean. If the depth of the trench was portrayed above land, it would be taller than Mount Everest! Water temperatures in the ocean range from freezing to about 86 degrees Fahrenheit. The Pacfic Ocean also includes The Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Australia; it is the longest coral reef in the world. Furthermore, the Pacific Ocean is known for the constant transportation routes that it provides, hurricanes and being the home of famous places, such as the Reef and Mariana Trench. Please make a donation to help preserve the wildlife that inhabits the pacific ocean including the hammerhead shark, Giant squid, octopus and Pacific white sided dolphin.
